Where can I see and order the products of Sunshutters?
To look at the shutters you can visit our showroom at the Hondecoeterstraat 13 Amsterdam, the Netherlands, however we also collaborate with dealers throughout Europe. Please contact Sunshutters for a dealer in your area.
What is the delivery time?
Delivery is 4 weeks after receipt of deposit, fall specials do not include (lap and diagonal windows and stain colours).
Is there a guarantee on the products of SunShutters?
Sun Shutters have a warranty of 3 years in manufacturing or assembly errors and varnish fading.
What should I consider when buying shutters?
There are many providers, for shutters it is important that you are well into it because shutters are a valuablee investment to your home a living pleasure on the long term.
Some points of attention are:
- quality: make sure that you buy shutters from solid wood, some shutters are made of MDF (compressed wood) this is cheaper but you have the chance that this may warp because moisture can withdraw.
- hinges: please note that you will buy shutters with concealed hinges, this is not only better looking but also makes the shutters firmly.
- descent: the majority of suppliers work with Basswood, but there is a difference in quality of descent the wood, this is reflected in the product. Therefore we always recommend to look at the product and compare different providers before purchase
Can I apply shutters in the bathroom?
Sunshutters are moisture resistant and are finished several times with Sikkens paint, thus they are also suitable for the bathroom.
What determines the price difference between different suppliers of shutters?
The difference lies in different aspects, think of quality, service and delivery (read also the question: 'where should I look for when purchasing shutters? "). Do not invest directly into the cheapest supplier, the purchase of shutters is an long term investment. Better pay more for a solid product or pay less and regret later. Orientate well before you buy shutters.
How do I keep my shutters clean?
Shutters are easy to clean by using a feather duster or "Swiffer". If necessary you can also use a damp cloth to remove stubborn dirt..
Can I stop shutters in my mortgage?
Most mortgages is allowed, if they nail rigidly attached. You can best check with your mortgage firm for full certainty.
