Flush-mounted shutter hinges
Shutters should have arridiation and offer cosiness. Here for flush-mounted hinges ar a must. Everyone prefers shutters as one, 1 colour, 1 type of lamella, 1 material (namely wood) and with as less possible gaps between the panels. With flush-mounted hinges this is realized.
Hinges on louvre: these are visible big hinges, you will see 2 kind of materials, namely wood and metal, same with the colour, the colour of the hinge and the colour of the panels. Also gaps are visible between the panels. This is caused by the hinges on louvre, because of the turning circle of the hinges on louvre, the panels are less tight against each other connected, because of these turning circles bigger gaps are caused. This gives a tumultuous image and gives a less tight radiation.
Flush-mounted hinges are 10 times more expensive in the production proces then hinges on louvre. But to our opinion flush-mounted hinges are absolute quality!
Per square meter more flush-mounted hinges are necessary to generate stability and strength. The production technology is much better but the working time per panel is much higher. Because of these circumstances the cost price of the end product is higher. But for an optimal quality shutters need flush-mounted hinges.
On grounds of esthetical and quality considerations SunShutters does not use hinges on louvre.
